How to make difficult medical choices amidst the fear.
Trying to sort your way through all this information when your mind is crowded with fear and doubt can be overwhelming.
It happens to everyone. The cancer diagnosis falls like a hammer on your heart. You feel desperate, a deer in the headlights, not knowing if you’re making the right decisions about your care–choices that could decide whether you live or die.
Determined to find the best medical care
Make these promises to yourself and those you love: I will find a place where I can explore the potential of genomic sequencing for my treatment. I will not rest until I believe I am getting the best and most up-to-date care available, whether it is genomic sequencing, or some other breakthrough.
Though the search will be hard, I will hang on, I will fight with everything I have because the defeat of cancer is on the horizon. The promise of remission may yet be realized for me.
I will take heart in the fact that I AM NOT ALONE.
More than determination
Beyond just determination, to wage this fight we believe you’re going to need strength beyond yourself. We believe God will walk beside you if you ask. He will give you his hope, strength and peace to face cancer. Maybe you’d like to ask right now. Your prayer, could be something like this:
“Dear God, I’ve never faced anything like this. There’s so much information, so many decisions I don’t know how to make. I simply ask you to reveal yourself to me, to bring your wisdom and your power to bear for me. Walk with me, please. I sense you’ve been standing there waiting for me to ask you for help. Well, I’m asking. Please.”
